Sharp surprises ISE 2011 visitors with oversized cube

Europe, 2011-01-18

All eyes will be on Sharp’s booth at the ISE at the beginning of February. The electronics corporation will be putting on a bigger and more impressive presentation than ever before. The PN-V601 series thin-bezel displays can be beheld in an extraordinary application at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Amsterdam from 1 to 3 February: With 64 sixty-inch monitors installed in a cube Sharp is creating an authentic three-dimensional space in which spectators appear to be pulled in. Other eye-catchers at the booth include the indoor sport installation made up of frameless monitors, the new PN-L601B touch-panel monitor and the prototype of 60" high brightness monitor.

Sharp’s appearance at the ISE will take your breath away. Guests will simply have to believe their eyes for the sensational monitor installation which Sharp will be presenting at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) in Amsterdam from 1-3 February. Connected to one another by their extremely narrow frames, the 64 PN-V601 series Sharp thin-bezel displays will be presenting awe-inspiring images, inviting trade show visitors to immerse themselves in the world of visuals.

‘With their narrow housing seams of just 6.5 mm, the 60-inch LCD monitors provide optimum conditions for high-grade video installations which are truly special. With a brightness of 700 cd/qm and full-screen LED backlighting, the displays make for razor-sharp images with vivid colours. They can be installed in both landscape and portrait formats’, explains Peter Heins, product manager for professional monitors and projectors at Sharp Electronics Europe. ‘Our displays can be seen in the cube, of course, but they are also perfectly suited to high-class video wall installations which demand precise, rapid and brilliant images.’

Another highlight at the ISE is Sharp’s new professional PN-L601B series of LCD displays with touch-screen function. Thanks to their full-white LED backlighting, the 60" monitors guarantee uniform brightness across the entire monitor and have the added bonus of low energy consumption. They integrate a sensitive touch panel which, thanks to its built-in infrared sensors, can locate the finger or pen accurately, even under slight pressure, thus guaranteeing comfortable operation. The user can save the images displayed and the notes written with the touch panel directly onto a PC at the push of a button. When combined with a Sharp multi-function unit, the content can also be sent to the colour-scanning device and printed out directly. ‘With its practical new features, Sharp’s new touch display is the optimum tool for meetings, video conferences, presentations or interactive training courses’, confirms Peter Heins.

This and other product innovations such as the prototype of the new 60" high brightness display can be marvelled at live at Sharp’s booth E66 in hall 11.
