Sharp about the earthquake in Japan

The Japanese company would like to inform to all the people who are concerned about the situation, that there are no extensive damages to Sharp buildings or production facilities in Japan including the plant located in Yaita-city, Tochigi Prefecture. The LCD panel production facilities located in Sakai-city, Kameyama-city, Taki-cho, and Tenri-city are striving to continue normal operation under the circumstances.

Sharp Corporation has made an announcement concerning corporate support for Tohoku-area Pacific Coast Earthquake. Sharp will donate 100 million yen. Further Sharp is considering the contribution of LCD-TVs and other items to the evacuations area.

Donations will be delivered via Japanese Red Cross Society and other institutions.
